San Antonio Spurs NBA

Since joining the NBA in 1976, the San Antonio Spurs have established themselves as one of the most successful franchises in the league’s history. The Spurs might not always be the most talked about team in the league, but the tradition of excellence they have cultivated over the years has led to several NBA records. Their 50-16 record from last year’s shortened season marked the 13th consecutive season they have won 50 games or more as they made their 21st playoff appearance in the last 22 seasons. With four NBA Championship banners hanging in the rafters of the AT&T Center, the Spurs rank fourth in overall titles, behind only the Chicago Bulls, Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers. The team’s success reached new heights after acquiring center Tim Duncan in the first round of the 1997 draft. During his 15 years in San Antonito, Duncan has led the Spurs to all four of its titles, while the team has never missed the postseason with Duncan on the roster. While most teams are constantly trading players, searching for the hottest talent, San Antonio has developed the most consistent winning team in NBA history by sticking with its strong group of core players, including Duncan, Manu Ginobili and Tony Parker, who have each played their entire careers in Spurs’ uniforms. Consequently, they developed great chemistry with one another over the years and although they don’t play with a lot of flash, their unselfish team mentality routinely lands them among the league’s top ranked teams in assists. Watching the Spurs play is seeing the game of basketball in its purest form. The players and the ball move in a constant flow, creating opportunities for everyone to touch the ball. There are no egos and no off-court drama. There is only basketball. But just because the Spurs are precise, smart and fundamental in their approach doesn’t mean they aren’t one of the most exciting teams to watch in the NBA. A Ginobili rim-rattling slam, an emphatic Dunacn rejection and a Parker buzzer-beater in front of a sold-crowd at the AT&T Center and the thunderous roar that follows is a sight and sound to truly behold. And then there’s Fandeavor.com, which takes an already exciting day at a Spurs game to the next level. You’ll be in awe when you get to the arena because Fandeavor has plenty more on tap than just a fantastic NBA match-up. You’ll have to check out the available experiences to believe it for yourself, but let’s just say you won’t be disappointed by what you find.
